Michael B. Allmon, C.P.A.
With a Master’s in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas, Michael Allmon has over 30 years of experience in tax planning and preparation, estate planning, and financial planning for businesses and individuals. Mike has held various executive and managerial positions with Laventhol & Horwath in Los Angeles, and Zusman, Cameron & Allmon, CPAs (as a partner in charge of Tax and Personal Financial Consulting Services) before founding Michael B. Allmon & Associates, LLP, CPAs in 1988.
As an active participant in the accounting community, Mike is the Founding Chair of the Statewide CalCPA Estate Planning Committee, and has also chaired the LA chapter Estate Planning Committee for CalCPA (one of the largest technical committees of CPAs in the nation). He is also the Founding Chair of the CalCPA Mentoring and Internship Program and was an active member of the CalCPA Taxation Committee. Also a former member of the Board of Directors and former Vice-President of the CalCPA Los Angeles Chapter, Mike has a long history of giving speeches and networking with accounting professionals in the state and local area. In addition to his participation in the accounting world, Mike has been an active member in the Manhattan Beach community for over 30 years.

Our Staff
Danika Allmon: Bookkeeper/Accountant
Danika has been working for Michael B. Allmon & Associates since the beginning of 2006. She has aided with tasks and projects of all sorts over her course of employment, including maintaining organization on all levels, transitioning to a paperless system, bookkeeping and associated client correspondence, and billing. Most importantly, Danika has contributed significantly to the firm’s transition to “insourced” tax return preparation. She has been assisting with the input of data for Individual and Corporate tax returns for the past couple of years and will be using her experience to train other staff members when appropriate. Most recently, Danika has been very involved with the redesign of this website, as well as other social media ventures.
Danika graduated from Chapman University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Psychology (some might say she is following in her father’s footsteps). She is a member of the California Society of CPAs, AICPA, and Chapman Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. She is also an active mentor for the Chapman Accounting Society and serves on the Society’s Board as Director of Media and Internal Relations.
In the summer of 2011 and the spring of 2012, Danika held an internship program in the Orange County office of Deloitte Tax LLP ‘s. Her permanent position will be in that office, in Deloitte Tax, LLP.
Aside from her studies and work, Danika enjoys riding on the back of her dad’s motorcycle, volunteering for various organizations, going for long walks (but not always on the beach), and expanding her knowledge through observing, listening, and reading.

Alexis Swader: Bookkeeper/Assistant
Alexis joined Michael B. Allmon & Associates in the summer of 2011. In addition to managing the office (and running Mike’s life) she performs tax preparation assistance, bookkeeping, and various other administrative duties. Alexis studies Accounting and hopes to complete that degree in 2014. Alexis studied at Marymount College & El Camino College in Black & White Photography as well as Digital Photography.
Alexis enjoys surfing, taking her energetic Weimaraner to the dog park, hanging out with friends and a nice nap every now and again (not in the office!)

David Kiper
David joined Michael B. Allmon & Associates at the start of 2011. David performed tax preparation assistance, bookkeeping, and various administrative duties. After helping Michael B. Allmon & Associates through tax season, David left the firm to work for Big 4 at Deloitte.
David has a degree in Finance from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), where he was an active member of the Accounting Society and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. David is currently a member of the California Society of CPA’s and the AICPA. David enjoys deep-sea fishing on his dad’s boat, surfing, and playing basketball.

Emily Berry
Emily joined Michael B. Allmon & Associates in the spring of 2010, as an up-and-coming junior at Loyola Marymount University. Emily notably contributed to the redesign of the MBACPA website with a focus on social networking, launching the firm’s blog and maintaining its Twitter content. She also performed tax preparation assistance, bookkeeping, and office-maintenance duties, in addition to helping clients transition their home offices to Paperless systems.
Emily left MBACPAs to hold an internship in KPMG’s audit practice in the summer of 2011. Emily is currently a member of the California Society of CPAs, and her hobbies include bike riding, running, and dancing. Spending time with family, friends, and her dog also rank high in her book.

Paul Rava
Paul joined Michael. B Allmon & Associates in the fall of 2008 and quickly built his relationships with company clients through bookkeeping and accounting services. Paul assisted clients with personal, corporate, and specific needs, all while contributing ideas for continuous improvements throughout the office. He took part in hiring new assistants for MBACPAs and helped with the formation of an intelligent, committed and effective group of assistants. Additionally, Paul held multiple positions with the California Society of CPAs as a part of the Board of Directors and a Loyola Marymount University (LMU) liaison.
After nearly three years with Michael B. Allmon & Associates, Paul began a full-time audit position with KPMG (subsequent to holding both summer and winter internships with the Big 4 firm).
Paul holds a degree in Accounting from LMU, where he was an active member of the Accounting and Finance Society. In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing baseball, producing music, and going for his daily run with his dog along the beach.

Bryce Falcon
Bryce joined Michael B. Allmon & Associates in the fall of 2007 as an accountant/bookkeeper with MBACPAs. Bryce also served as a resident technical advisor in the firm’s transition to a paperless office, maintained bookkeeping and correspondence with clients, and redesigned and implemented a workflow for preparing complex court accountings with minimal supervision, for which the firm was complimented by the trusts’ attorney, a Certified Specialist in Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization.
Additionally, as office manager, Bryce contributed to the screening and hiring of additional employees, as well as training and managing the daily tasks of the office staff. He led the MBACPAs website’s design and maintenance, with suggestions and contributions from the office staff. However, after nearly four years with Michael B. Allmon & Associates, Bryce went on to pursue a career in public accounting as a staff member at Moss Adams LLP (subsequent to an internship with the firm’s Los Angeles office).
Bryce holds two degrees (a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Television Production) from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), where he was a participating member of Alpha Sigma Nu, Beta Gamma Sigma, and the LMU Accounting Society. Bryce’s hobbies include running, playing piano, and film-making.

Rambod Behnam
Rambod began his accounting career at Michael B. Allmon & Associates in the fall of 2006. Initially starting as an administrative assistant, he moved on to a hybrid accountant/assistant role with added accounting and tax preparation duties. Rambod began the firms transition to a paperless office by creating the network infrastructure and streamlining the system to digitize client documents. After two celebrated years at Michael B. Allmon & Associates, Rambod left to work for Big 4 at Ernst and Young as a financial auditor.
Rambod holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University, where he was a member of the Accounting Society. He is currently a member of the California Society of CPAs. His hobbies include biking, going to movies, and cooking.
